Best Concert Grand Piano For Beginners
If you are a concert pianist or simply love playing the piano, then you've probably been asking yourself, "What is the best concert piano?" The best concert pianos depend on several factors. What is the best piano for me will depend on my ability, my preferences, my budget and my style of music. In this article I'll cover some of the most important factors to keep in mind when comparing concert pianos.
Many musicians and piano enthusiasts have different budgets and different styles. Some may play classical music, some may play popular music, while others may prefer an older model that they can still play now but which they aren't so familiar with. So how much should one base their judgment on price when making a decision about the best concert grand piano? It's best to take a look at all the different models you are considering, the price range, and the reputation of the company behind each one. Here are some common factors used in comparing pianos and you can use these factors to get a general idea about what the best piano for you is.
How much power does the piano have? This is another question many players ask themselves when they want to know what's really good, and it's easy to answer by looking at what kind of battery and engine the instrument has. An electric piano generally has a more powerful engine than a classical piano, and there are models out there which have up to four channels as well as onboard speaker capability. A digital piano will have a battery backup which can help if it doesn't start, and it really good if it doesn't have very good sound reproduction.
Do you need pre-amp capabilities? Preamp capabilities refer to whether or not you want a preamp built into the instrument. Some models have them, but others will only come with a stand adapter so you'll need an amplifier to plug it into. The number of channels it has and the quality of sound that comes from it depends on how many amp capabilities it has. If you are beginner piano players, the best models will have only two or three amps, but for intermediate and advanced players the amps can be increased to four or five. They also will have more dynamics, and a better sound reproduction.
What do you like to do with your piano? Most beginners like to just play along with some tracks they have recorded, and most intermediate players have a few favorite songs that they like to practice and play on a regular basis. If you like to record music, a digital piano is probably the best option because you can hook it up to your computer and just play back whatever you recorded while you're away from home.
Do you want a grand piano? Most people think of a full-sized floor model when they hear that they have to pound their fingers on that much pressure to make those 88 keys sound right. That's not quite the case with today's models. In fact, today's pianos have fewer keys than many keyboard synthesizers have keys. They are designed to be very thin, yet have plenty of feel and "thumb" support. This allows the pianist to press down on the keys without worrying about making that awful, cramped, grinding noise that comes from so many regular keyboards.
So what should you look for in the Best Concert Grand Piano for beginners? First of all, you want one with a large, clear keyset. You don't want to be limited by the fingerboard space of a digital piano, and you definitely don't want to deal with a keyboard that's difficult to navigate. As you get more advanced, you will probably want to add additional keys, so make sure that the Best Concert Grand Piano for beginners has at least five rows of keys. You'll also want to make sure that the keys are made out of a good hardwood.
Some piano manufacturers go all out and include hammers on their keyboards, while others use non-traditional weighted keys. Hammer action keys are nice, but for some pianists who do a lot of playing, even the weighted keys can be too much. Whatever the choice, it's best to go with a piano that uses real hammers rather than weighted keys or acoustic pianos. After all, real hammers strike the keys with a downward pressure that mimics the action that real pianos use.
