What Is The Best Full HD Monitor To Play Video Games On?
What is the best full HD monitor? Is it the one with the largest display? Is it the one with the fastest response time? Is it the one with the best contrast ratio? In this article I will try to answer these questions and more.
What is the best monitor size for HDTV's? The best monitor sizes for HDTV's have been increasing every year. The first full HDTV, the LG LH 2520, came out around a decade ago. It had a WUXGA screen size which at the time was considered to be quite large for a HDTV.
The other major player in the HDTV market at that time was Samsung. They introduced a range of TVs called "the best in quality" and "the best in value". Unfortunately their range also had some big let downs - they were expensive, they had low contrast ratio and the response time on most models was sub par. Their other monitors such as the LED series had some nice features but the bottom line was that you had to pay big bucks to get top of the range quality. Recently though, Philips and Acer have both launched HDTV's with great specifications and good price tags.
So now we come to the big question - what is the best monitor for gamers? First lets explain what makes a good video editing or gaming PC monitor. A good computer monitor should have a response time that is fast and smooth. It should have a wide response range so that all colours are displayed correctly and all screen sizes are displayed correctly. It should have a fast base rate so that your computer never has any trouble operating.
With those requirements in mind you might think that a full pc monitor is an absolute must have. Well there are a few different types of monitors that meet all of these criteria, but no one has yet come up with a standard that you would recommend. The reason I say this is because we are still trying to make computers as portable and practical as possible. We are not quite there yet with regards to wireless broadband and other internet technologies and video editing software.
Wireless broadband adapters are pretty much a necessity if you plan on playing online games. Without them playing a game can be very laggy and take a lot of time to load. We are also still a ways away from wireless mice as they work by detecting movements made by the users hands. If your hand moves then the mouse will move and so on. We could make our gaming monitors much more responsive, but the technology just isn't there yet.
Response time and refresh rate are important to the gaming experience. We want a monitor that will not have a very slow response time which could cause screen burn where the screen can become distorted. We don't want a very high refresh rate that can cause lag. Ideally a gaming monitors refresh rate should be around 60 frames per second. These two features combined will ensure that your games will run smoothly and without any screen tearing.
For curved monitors the technology is not quite there yet. There is a thin market for curved monitors and we will most likely never see a curved monitor produced for the market. Why? Well because the market for curved monitors is absolutely huge but it would require too many devices to support the market. So lets just say that it will never happen. So if you are looking for the best full hd monitor in the market that will suit your gaming needs then you will probably have to settle for something else.
