The Best Music Streaming Device Options
Music fan, home theatre addict or just someone who loves what they hear, if you're anything like me, you're constantly searching for the best music streaming device. Music lovers, internet marketers and social media users alike know the power of streaming audio and video. It is the new wave of entertainment.
Music fans everywhere are discovering new ways to stream videos and audio today. Audio and video content is one of the hottest markets on the internet today. What is the best discovery algorithm? What is a streaming amplifier?
The Best Music Streaming Device has evolved into the slim devices of today. There are now many different manufacturers and models out there. slim devices such as Sonos, Apple, Amazon, iControl, and Logitech. I would suggest that everyone start their research on the internet and narrow down your choice to one or two, the most important consideration here is the quality of audio system the computer system can handle.
There are many advantages when using any one of these types of devices. For example, when using a Sonos device you have the ability to control volume, song list, skip ahead, rewind, and much more. If you use a computer with a decent sound card then you can stream audio from pretty much any device available. These devices, especially Sonos, allow for true home theater quality sound.
One of the more popular streaming options are the Amazon Kindle Fire and the Apple iPhone. These are two very useful devices and provide good sound and video quality. As for me, I like to use my iPhone for my daily workout routine. When looking for an audio device consider factors such as memory size, maximum display, and pixel resolution.
Now that you've researched and determined what type of device you want, it's time to look at some basic information and specifications. You'll need to know the difference between PCA, ORCA, and RRO. PCA stands for "pass-through", which means the audio device will pick up the signal, process it, and send it on. ORCA stands for "onselectronic", which means the device will process the signal, buffer it, then filter it to remove any noise. RRO stands for "rigid reactive interference", which means the streaming device will filter the audio samples and reproduce them as close to the original sample rate as possible. If the audio device has a DAC (Digital Amplifier) then it is called a digital ac amp.
After you have all the necessary information, it's time to start shopping around for a device. If you're going through iTunes, simply go to the playlists and click on the audio files. If you're using the Amazon Kindle, simply go to the books section and look for songs of interest. If you're using airplay 2, then you need to go to playstation store and look under the PSP/PS2/PS3 tabs to find the music streaming services.
My personal recommendation is either the ROKR or Airplay 2 devices. Both of these options are easy to use and have great customer support. Keep in mind that most music streaming devices will require a monthly subscription to the audio service. Once your account is paid up, you can then turn your music streamer on and start listening to live or recorded music in real-time via your headphones, speakers, or by connecting your laptop/mobile computer to the audio system.
For those looking for slim devices with superior sound quality, I recommend the ROKR iio. If you're not familiar with it, the ROKR iio has all the same features as the original ROKR, but it's small and compact. It uses an Aptv technology to allow you to watch your music videos while taking a coffee break, so you get the sound effects you expect from an audio service. When listening to live music, it utilizes the latest speaker driver which allows for crystal clear sound effects and crisp bass.
If you need additional features, the slimserver is a good option. The slimserver is designed to be very mobile, so it can be easily plugged into any modern PC or Mac computer. It's tiny design will make it difficult to take with you on trips, but it will definitely fit in your bag. The device runs on an Aptv server, so it requires no monthly subscription. You can even watch music from your phone using your favorite media player this way, so you get the same quality of sound and picture you would from your home DVR.
If you have yet to hear about the roon, it is a high end music streamer that uses a hard drive to stream live content. The hard drive is known for its durability and speed, so you won't have to worry about it breaking down as you work your favorite songs. As its name suggests, it is extremely slim, which makes it perfect if you want to carry it with you. It has a USB connection to allow you to connect the device to your computer as well as a stereo headphone for the best experience. The roon runs on Aptv, so you will never miss a single song. The device has a built in antenna, so it will even work in areas that don't have access to a cable internet provider.
